altitude Himalayan deserts of Ladak and Spiti. These almost Martian
landscapes are one of the most spectacular anywhere in the
world.Terrestrial colours of golden ochres and moody  umberes paint
themselves into these expansive slopes as far as the eyes can see.
These landscape works are constructed out of earth ,acrylic and
pastels . These works are also a nod to the Buddhist monks tradition
of sand mandala paintings from this region
The fragility of the paintings  are in direct contrast to the
heaviness of the earth adding to visual tension that you experience in
the works
