Mighty Whites

Mighty Whites is a visual tribute to the snow capped Himalayan peaks. Each work in the series uses marble dust, chosen for its remarkable similarity to snow in texture, reflectivity, and lustre. Combined with acrylic and pastels on canvas set on board, the materials create ethereal surfaces that shimmer with subtle variations.

The compositions are made up of panels grouped in irregular, vertical arrangements, echoing the cragged outlines of mountain ranges. This gesture conjures the feeling of standing before great peaks where the land and sky blend at the horizon.

Each painting is cloaked in luminous whites, capturing the snow peaks as they play hide and seek with the ever present clouds.
